Obituary for Honor Delaney (Delaney)
We unexpectedly lost Honor Delaney, age 50, on Wednesday, April 14th, 2021.
Honor was born September 16th, 1970 in South Florida and moved to North Carolina about 7 months prior to be closer to family. She was an extraordinary mother and an even better grandmother. She would often stop her entire day just to come by and share some laughs and much needed hugs. She was consistently offering her help to her pregnant daughter and always made sure her children were well taken care of. She extended her love of life to every person she met and left a piece of her innate kindness in every heart she had the pleasure of knowing. She truly embodied a rich, robust love of life, even on her bad days. She leaves behind proud family and lasting friendships, a sterling legacy - all she ever could have asked for.
She is survived by her children Nikole (Christopher) Lawrence, Matthew Flynn, and Alyssa Festa, as well as grandchildren Lucia, Kasey, and Kayden. She is survived by both parents Robert Delaney and Desiree Sodano, her younger brother Michael Delaney, two nieces Stefanie Delaney and Julianna Delaney, and two great nephews Izayah and Julian. She is also survived by the father of her children Anthony Festa.
There will be a private memorial to celebrate her life.
