Edward Lee Barnes Jr, of Parkton, North Carolina passed away on Saturday, January 9th at around 3AM. He was born on January 31st, 1944 in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Edward Lee Sr and the late Grace Barnes. He was a professor of Chemistry at Fayetteville Technical Community College and an avid member of the American Radio Relay League, a member of the Cape Fear Amateur Radio Society. Ed was an Elder at First Christian Church, Disciples of Christ in Fayetteville, North Carolina. Survivors include: his wife Ernestine Barnes, stepdaughter Lori Lyninger, and son Edward Lee Barnes III. Due to the pandemic, the service will be held at a later date.
