Obituary for Bobbie Jean Wright (Gibson)
Bobbie Jean (Gibson) Wright, age 81, of Fayetteville, NC died on Thursday, November 5, 2020.
Bobbie was born in Goodloe, KY on March 18, 1939. She was the youngest of 12 children. She
wed Grover C. Wright on September 2, 1961 and remained married to him for 53 years until death parted them.
Bobbie was preceded in death by her husband U.S. Army Retired 1SG Grover C. Wright. She was also preceded in death by her parents, Lincoln and Dora Gibson, as well as her 11 siblings, Stella Smith, Henry Gibson, Julia Ousley, Willie Gibson, Thelma Gibson, Everett Gibson, Herbert Gibson, Arvil Jack Gibson, Jolene Castle, Janet Sue Gibson, and James Gibson.
Bobbie was an avid reader, quilter, and gardener. She loved cooking and baking and was considered to be a great cook by everyone who had the chance to try her food. Her greatest love of all was children. Not only did she raise her own two children, but she was an integral part of raising her grandkids and several neighborhood kids. Nothing made her happier than holding babies and playing with children.
Bobbie is survived by her daughter Janet, her son Grover Jr., her three grandsons Jeffrey, Gabriel, and
Alexander, and many nieces, nephews, and friends who she loved dearly.
