Anubis DeWayne Wells was born on August 1, 2000 in Fayetteville, North Carolina. He went to his heavenly home on October 17, 2020 at the age of 20 years old.

Anubis was a happy and energetic child. As he grew, he became a passionate Pokemon expert, Dragon Ball Z enthusiast and loved all things anime. He had a bright and infectious smile and a great sense of humor. He always made time to help others. He knew all the words to the songs from Hamilton and never missed an opportunity to sing along. He loved God, his family and friends, music, Linkin Park, video games, and being an Aggie. He graduated in 2018 from Reid Ross Classical High School and attended the North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in Greensboro, NC as a Computer Science major with an anticipated 2022 graduation date.

He is lovingly survived by his father Reginald Wells; his mother and stepfather Jane Mi and Dezmond Harper; his sisters: Melina Wells, Kyla Harper, Kennedi Harper, Olivia Harper, and Naomi Harper; his brothers: Dezmond Harper Jr. and Devon Harper; his grandparents: Melvin and Janet Simpson, Marc and Theresa Nadeau, James and Shelby McKoy and Donna Bulino; aunts and uncles: Bryce Nadeau, Jennifer and Rick Owens, Damien Dixon, James and Melinda Wells, Angela and Kurt Claussen, Darlene Simpson, Melody Simpson, Tyronna and Kevin Hooker, Khary McKoy, and Catherine Nadeau; and by numerous cousins, great aunts, great uncles, other family members, and friends.

Anubis was a genuine, loving, good and kind son, brother, friend, and person. He positively affected the lives of everyone who had the pleasure of knowing him. He will be forever greatly loved and missed and never forgotten.

My sincerest condolences to the family of Anubis Wells. I had the honor of teaching him back in 7th grade and I have nothing but good things to remember him by. Anubis was quiet but always had a smile on his face. His smile and cheeks would make anyone feel better just by simply looking in his direction. He was an amazing person! I am going to miss him and I am praying for the entire Wells family. Be encouraged and GOD bless!

My soul cries out to the Lord in your passing....and this is truly a hard transition to make! I know the Lord had a greater purpose in all of this, but I am so saddened by our loss!

I had the honor and privilege of teaching Nube for all four of his high school both CTE (Business, Computer, and Personal Finance Courses) as well as Social Studies (American History 2, African American Studies and Current Affairs). What a blessing that we spent so much time the classroom as wella s field trips. He always brightened my day...although he had a quiet demeanor, he always served as a positive leader in any group he was a part of. I was always blessed in his confidence in me personally and we shared many parts of our lives and history that others may not have known.

As parents, we never want to see one of our children called to Heaven before us. My sincere condolences and sympathies to all the family during this transition. Please know Anubis was well respected and loved. He was talented in so many ways, THAT has to be the blessing you carry forward in your heart!

Until we meet again Anubis: fly high!! May God hold you in the palm of his hand!
